GOGO Charters has launched a new Dallas-to-San Antonio bus route that will transport passengers between the two cities in luxury.

Along the way, the daily luxury bus service will stop in San Marcos, Austin, Temple, and Waco. Passengers can expect a comfortable ride with reclining seats, onboard restrooms, Wi-Fi, and a mobile app allowing real-time tracking.

In a statement published on GOGO’s website, President Mark Thronson says people have few attractive options when traveling between Dallas and San Antonio.

“Driving can be stressful and expensive, especially with rising gas prices. Flying might seem faster, but by the time you account for airport commutes and security lines, the time savings often disappear,” he stated.

Thronson also pointed to the recovery in intercity bus services, reaching 85-90% of pre-pandemic ridership, implying a growing demand for long-distance bus travel.

“However, station closures and reduced services in some areas have left many underserved. The result? Fewer accessible, affordable travel choices for Texans,” Thronson continued.

In October 2024, The Dallas Express reported that local developer Ray Washburne purchased the Greyhound bus station in Downtown Dallas. Initially, the terminal was slated to shut down that same month when Greyhound’s lease expired. However, it was extended until April 20205.

While shuttering the downtown bus terminal raised concerns over the impact on intercity routes, the Dallas-based transport company eventually secured a new home on Harry Hines Boulevard. Not only that, the new space will allow Greyhound to expand bus service in and out of Dallas.

“The Dallas-to-San Antonio line run is just the beginning. Over the next two years, GOGO Charters plans to expand its intercity services across Texas and the nation. With each new route, we’ll bring the same commitment to quality, innovation, and passenger satisfaction,” wrote Thronson.

GOGO currently operates non-daily services in numerous other American cities, like Las Vegas, New Orleans, Denver, Atlanta, and New York. The company aims to add more daily routes between U.S. cities over the coming two years.
