Slosar began his Border Patrol career in 1998 at the Santa Teresa Station in the El Paso Sector. Over the years, he has held key leadership positions at the headquarters, sector, and station levels.

Most recently, he served as Chief of the Law Enforcement Operations Directorate in Washington, D.C., overseeing nationwide border security initiatives. His expertise in operational planning and enforcement strategy significantly contributed to his selection for this leadership position.

The El Paso Sector remains a focal point in national discussions on border security, handling high levels of migrant crossings and enforcement challenges. Slosar’s appointment comes as the Biden administration works to balance enforcement with humanitarian considerations. Officials believe his experience will help manage the sector effectively while addressing policy shifts and operational demands.

“I am honored to return to the El Paso Sector and work alongside the dedicated men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol,” Slosar said in a statement. “Together, we will continue to uphold our mission of securing the border and protecting our communities.”
