The stage is set for the 2025 World Series as the Los Angeles Dodgers take on the Toronto Blue Jays in a coast-to-coast clash of the two best teams in baseball.

Toronto earned its spot in the final series of the season after finishing with a 94-68 regular-season record, which helped the team secure the second overall seed in the American League playoffs.

The Blue Jays have powered through the postseason by surviving multiple difficult series against the New York Yankees and Seattle Mariners, including a 3-2 comeback against the Mariners in the American League Championship Series.

Meanwhile, the Dodgers have continued their run of dominance over the past few years by finishing with a regular season record of 93-69 and capturing the third seed in the National League playoffs.

Los Angeles surged through the playoffs behind consistent starting pitching, timely hitting, and a bullpen that shut down opponents in high-pressure situations.

This run through the postseason has included a 2-0 series victory over the Cincinnati Reds, a 3-1 series victory against the Philadelphia Phillies, and a smooth 4-0 series win over the Milwaukee Brewers.

This year’s World Series matchup brings together two contrasting but equally dangerous rosters.

The Blue Jays’ lineup is built around power and speed, featuring one of the deepest infields in baseball.

The Dodgers counter with a disciplined offense that led the National League in home runs and a pitching rotation anchored by multiple of the league’s top arms.

For Los Angeles, the 2025 World Series presents an opportunity to defend its title and solidify its position as a modern dynasty.

Toronto, on the other hand, is looking to reclaim glory in its first World Series appearance since 1993, bringing the biggest series of the year back to Canada after more than 30 years.

Game 1 of this World Series will take place Friday, October 24, at Rogers Centre in Toronto, with the first pitch of the series scheduled to take place at 7 p.m.

Oddsmakers have the Dodgers as clear favorites entering the series.

Los Angeles is currently listed on ESPN Bet as having -210 odds to win the championship, while Toronto sits near +175 to pull the upset.

The Dodgers also opened as slight favorites for Game 1, with money lines close to -150 for Los Angeles and +125 for the Blue Jays.

With two powerhouse teams, contrasting styles, and a championship legacy on the line, the 2025 World Series promises a showcase of everything that makes October baseball unforgettable.
