One of the Metroplex’s best private school football players has joined a state defending champion in the region.

The Denton Record-Chronicle reported that three-star defensive lineman Jadon Scarlett transferred to Class 4A Division I state champion Argyle from Coram Deo.

Scarlett arrives at Argyle as a two-time All-State TAAPS defensive lineman.

He showed off the most recent of the pair of accolades in a tweet earlier this year.

“Got my 2nd medal today to make it official,” Scarlett tweeted on Jan. 22. “Making me a 2x All-state TAAPS defensive lineman.”

The senior-to-be will suit up for one of the most dominant defenses in Texas.

The Eagles, which went 16-0 in 2020, gave up about 16 points a contest en route to their state title victory over Lindale.

Texas A&M currently occupies the top spot on Scarlett’s wish list of colleges, the web site TexAgs reported.

A tweet from Scarlett shows TAMU to be in front of Mizzou and Oklahoma.
