The Texas Rangers, Frisco RoughRiders, and Dallas Wings continued their seasons on Wednesday.

Here is what happened on the field, on the court, and behind the scenes.

MLB

Texas Rangers (42-25, first in American League West)

Last Game: Rangers 6, Los Angeles Angels 3

The Rangers hit three home runs to help stop a three-game skid with a 6-3 win over the Angels.

Marcus Semien’s two-run blast in the seventh broke a 1-1 tie, and Corey Seager followed with a solo shot to make it 4-1. Leody Taveras, who homered earlier in the game, and Mitch Garver added RBIs in the eighth.

Noteworthy: The Rangers get their first win of the series after dropping the first two games. The 42-25 start matches the best 67-game start in franchise history.

— Semien came up with his first hit in his last 15 at-bats with a single in the sixth. He was 2-5 in the game with two RBIs on the home run.

— Catcher Sam Huff has been recalled from Triple-A Round Rock, and reliever Joe Barlow has been activated from the 15-day injured list. Catcher Sandy Leon has been designated for assignment.

MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL

Frisco RoughRiders (26-32, fourth in Texas League South Division, seventh in AA Texas League)

Last Game: Northwest Arkansas Naturals 7, RoughRiders 3

Frisco jumped out to a 3-0 lead after RBIs from Aaron Zavala and Kellen Strahm, while Jax Biggers scored on an error. However, Northwest Arkansas responded with five runs in the third, and Jorge Bonifacio hit a two-run home run in the fifth to give the Naturals a four-run cushion. Frisco was 2-18 with runners in scoring position and left 11 runners on base.

Noteworthy: Starting pitcher Nick Krauth gave up five runs in four innings. He is now 1-4 on the season with a 6.34 ERA and winless since April 14.

— Thomas Saggese hit .381 last year with six extra-base hits and nine RBIs in Northwest Arkansas. Through his first two games there this year, the Frisco infielder is 4-9 with a home run, two RBIs,  and two runs scored.

— Dustin Harris committed his first error since July 10 of last season, snapping a 62-game errorless streak.

— Rangers No.2 prospect Owen White has been optioned back to Frisco after making his MLB debut on Tuesday.

WNBA

Dallas Wings (5-5, third in Western Conference)

Last Game: Los Angeles Sparks 79, Wings 61

Los Angeles outscored Dallas by 12 in the second half on its way to a win. The Sparks forced 18 turnovers and shot over 50% from the field as Nneka Ogwumike and Dearica Hamby led the way. Kalani Brown led Dallas with 21 points and 11 rebounds.

Noteworthy: The loss was Dallas’ first on its home court this season.

— Los Angeles moves past Dallas to take second place in the Western Conference.

— The Wings have played three games in which multiple players have double-doubles after Brown and Satou Sabally accomplished the feat on Wednesday.

— Guard Arike Ogunbowale had just 13 points, her second-lowest output of the season.

— The Wings made all their free throw attempts for the second time this season.
