The Dallas Mavericks returned to the court while the Texas Rangers played one of their last spring training games.
Here is what happened on the court, on the field, and behind the scenes.
NBA
Dallas Mavericks (37-39, third in Southwest Division, 11th in Western Conference)
Last Game: Mavericks 127, Indiana Pacers 104
After a close first quarter, the Mavericks controlled the rest of the game as they stopped their four-game losing streak. A 17-4 run to start the second quarter opened things up, and Dallas led by as many as 31 in the fourth. Luka Doncic and Jaden Hardy both scored over the 20-point mark to lead six Mavericks in double figures.
Noteworthy: Doncic was called for his 16th technical foul of the season on Sunday against the Hornets, which comes with an automatic one-game suspension. However, the league reviewed the call and overturned the ruling, allowing Doncic to play on Monday.
— The Mavericks earn a split of the season series with Indiana after falling 124-122 at home against the Pacers at the end of February.
— Dallas still sits outside the playoff picture, trailing the Lakers and Oklahoma City by half a game with six games left in the season.
Next Up: Mavericks at Philadelphia 76ers (49-26), 6:30 p.m. CT Wednesday

MLB — SPRING TRAINING
Texas Rangers (12-15-3, 12th in Cactus League)
Last Game: Rangers 4, Kansas City Royals 4
The Rangers rallied to tie the top team in the Cactus League. Trailing 4-0 in the seventh, Josh H. Smith singled in two runs, while Robbie Grossman and Jonah Heim added two more in the eighth. Nathan Eovaldi surrendered all four Kansas City runs while striking out six in five innings of work.
Noteworthy: With an 0-5 performance at the plate, Corey Seager’s hitting streak ended at 15 games.
— The Rangers have optioned reliever Joe Barlow to Triple-A Round Rock. Barlow had surgery on his right wrist in the offseason and has experienced velocity issues throughout the spring, prompting Texas to send him down to give him time to work his way back to full strength. Barlow has 24 saves in 66 MLB games.
— Pitchers Jake Odorizzi, Glenn Otto, and Brett Martin are all expected to miss significant time with injuries. Odorizzi has been dealing with shoulder fatigue and has not faced any batters this spring, Otto is dealing with a sprained shoulder capsule, and Martin is still recovering from off-season shoulder surgery.
Next Up: Kansas City Royals (19-12-1) at Rangers, 1:05 p.m. CT Tuesday

NHL
Dallas Stars (39-20-14, third in Central Division, sixth in Western Conference)
Noteworthy: With nine games to play, the Stars sit seven points ahead of Winnipeg in the Central Division — meaning it is unlikely they would fall into the Wild Card portion of the playoff race.
If the current standings hold, Dallas will play the Colorado Avalanche in the first round of the playoffs.
Next Up: Stars at Chicago Blackhawks (24-43-6), 7:30 p.m. CT Tuesday
