The Texas Rangers and the Frisco RoughRiders continued their seasons Tuesday.

Here is what happened on the field and behind the scenes.

MLB

Texas Rangers (41-25, first in American League West)

Last Game:  Los Angeles Angels 7, Rangers 3

The Rangers lost their third game in a row as late home runs carried the Angels. After Nathaniel Lowe and Corey Seager homers gave Texas a 3-1 lead, the Angels took a one-run lead with a three-run sixth inning, capped by a Hunter Renfroe two-run home run. Los Angeles shortstop Zach Neto added a two-run shot as the Angels sealed the win with three more runs in the ninth.

Noteworthy: Cody Bradford started in place of an injured Jon Gray and allowed one run on two hits over four and one-third innings.

— Rangers No.2 prospect Owen White was promoted from Double-A Frisco on Tuesday and made his MLB debut for Texas against the Angels. White threw two innings, giving up three runs on four hits while striking out two.

— Utilityman Brad Miller and reliever Glenn Otto began rehab assignments in Triple-A. Miller went 0-2 at the plate, while Otto pitched three innings and allowed two runs in an 8-5 win.

— Starting pitcher Jacob deGrom underwent successful Tommy John surgery to repair his UCL, the team said. The procedure was done by team physician Dr. Keith Meister, and players usually take about 12-14 months to return to the field.

MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL

Frisco RoughRiders (26-31, fourth in Texas League South Division, seventh in AA Texas League)

Last Game: RoughRiders 11, Northwest Arkansas Naturals 6

Frisco and Northwest Arkansas combined for 10 runs in the first three innings, but the RoughRiders took control of the game with a five-run frame in the fourth. Trevor Hauver had a three-RBI double, followed by a Dustin Harris triple and a single from Kellen Strahm. Scott Kaper added an RBI double in the sixth, while the Naturals only scored one more run the rest of the game.

Noteworthy: Just days after being named Texas League Pitcher of the Week, Frisco starting pitcher Owen White was called up to the Texas Rangers and made his MLB debut.

— Thomas Saggese now leads the RoughRiders with eight home runs this season.

— Frisco has hit 10 home runs in its last seven games.

WNBA

Dallas Wings (5-4, second in Western Conference)

Noteworthy: Wings forward Satou Sabally has been named the Western Conference Player of the Week. In three games last week. Sabally averaged 19.3 points and 12.3 rebounds as the Wings won twice.

— The Wings are 2-3 in June after starting the season 3-1. They trail the Las Vegas Aces by three games in the Western Conference.
