The Texas Rangers and the Frisco RoughRiders were in action Tuesday.

Here is what happened on the field and behind the scenes.

MLB

Texas Rangers (26-16, first in American League West)

Last Game: Rangers 7, Atlanta Braves 4

Adolis Garcia added two more RBIs to his Major League lead as the Rangers jumped out to a 6-1 lead. Home runs from Ronald Acuna Jr. and Sean Murphy helped Atlanta cut the deficit to two in the eighth, but Ezequiel Duran’s solo shot in the bottom of the eighth delivered the knockout blow.

Noteworthy: The Rangers get back to 10 games above .500 for the second time this season.

— Texas has recalled RHP Joe Barlow from Triple-A Round Rock and optioned RHP Cody Bradford to Triple-A. Bradford made his Major League debut as the starter against Atlanta in Monday’s loss.

— Dane Dunning went six innings and allowed just one run in his third start of the season. Dunning is 4-0 with a 1.69 ERA this season and has allowed just seven earned runs over his last 37.1 innings.

— Jonah Heim extended his hitting streak to 14 games with an RBI single in the sixth inning.
