Here is what happened on the field, on the court, and behind the scenes.

MLB

Texas Rangers (45-28, first in American League West)

Last Game: Chicago White Sox 7, Rangers 6

Corey Seager’s five-RBI night was not enough, as the Rangers fell by a run in Chicago. Texas rallied from a 4-2 deficit to take a 6-4 lead in the top of the eighth, but Chicago scored three in the bottom of the inning.

Former Ranger Elvis Andrus had three RBIs in the game and scored the winning run on a controversial interference call on Jonah Heim for blocking the plate, which prompted arguments from the Rangers and Bochy ejected.

Noteworthy: The Rangers maintain a five-game lead over the Angels in the AL West.

— Texas has four players batting over .300 this season.

— Seager now has 41 RBIs since returning from the injured list in mid-May.

— Outfielder Adolis Garcia hit a home run Tuesday and now leads the team with 16.
