The Texas Rangers are reportedly set to stream games on Victory+ for the upcoming 2025 MLB season.

This agreement with Victory+ means the Rangers will join the Dallas Stars as two professional teams from the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex to make the move from Bally Sports.

As reported by The Dallas Express, the Rangers, Stars, and Dallas Mavericks each announced departures from Bally Sports as the company continues to deal with bankruptcy concerns.

While the Rangers and Stars have transitioned to Victory+ after parting ways with Bally Sports, the Mavericks announced a streaming platform called MavsTV that streams over 70 games from the 2024-25 season.

Victory+ posted on social media on Tuesday to hint about the new deal with the Rangers. The post included a video countdown to the Rangers season while leaving the letters “T” and “R” highlighted.

Rangers Sports Media and Entertainment Company chairman Neil Leibman said in a news release about the deal that it is a “tremendous first step” toward allowing the club’s fans to watch as many games as possible.

“Victory+ has proven itself over the past few months as a reliable streaming home for several professional sports teams, and we feel Rangers fans will enjoy the familiarity, convenience, and simplicity of this service,” he added.

This move from the Rangers comes as no surprise as Stars President and CEO Brad Alberts said over the summer that the streaming service was pursuing other teams and was keeping the door open for other Dallas-Fort Worth teams to join.

“Our model incorporates other properties, other brands joining us, so you can speculate on who those are going to be,” he said, per Sports Illustrated.

“We’re not going to mention other properties because they have to figure out what they’re going to do as far as this goes, but we are banking on others are going to join us.”

One key difference between the Rangers and Stars on this app is that fans will be charged a fee to watch baseball. However, per WFAA, fans can stream the entire regular season and certain spring training games for $100.

In the news release, Neil Gruninger, President & CEO of A Parent Media Co., said that the organization is “thrilled to add Texas Rangers baseball to the Victory+ service” and that the fans deserved “another way to access this iconic team. It’s an honor to become the Rangers’ first direct-to-consumer streaming home and offer both Rangers and Dallas Stars games to fans throughout the region. We can’t wait to give even more fans the viewing experience they deserve.”

This streaming agreement will also include free on-demand content about the Rangers, including “exclusive player interviews and behind-the-scenes features.”
