Former Prosper Eagles girls soccer team member Laleh Lonteen will head to Alabama in the fall to attend and play for Jacksonville State University (JSU).

The fresh high school graduate cemented her commitment with the Gamecocks women’s soccer program back in April.

“Congrats to our own Laleh Lonteen, who signed her National Letter of Intent to play D1 soccer at Jacksonville State University! So proud of you, Laleh,” the Prosper girls soccer team’s Twitter account posted.

Lonteen was a four-year letter winner for Prosper under head coach Tayor Baca.

The JSU Sports Department’s website reported that she’s a player who’s versatile on the defensive side of the ball.

Before moving to North Texas, she played club soccer in Washington State and Utah.

Aside from having played for Prosper, Lonteen was a member of the developmental academy of MLS’s Dallas FC, for whose U-17 squad she scored 17 goals in the span of two seasons.

She also played for the Crossfire, Del Sol and La Roca soccer clubs.

Lonteen was the fourth Class of 2021 commit to sign with JSU, joining three other pledges.
