Baseball season is finally here, and there will be tons of food options for those watching the Rangers at Globe Life Field. With the season opener on April 11, fans will have eight new food choices to select from and three local restaurants popping up to sell food during home games.
Regular visitors to Globe Life Field will notice newly added items to the Rangers stadium menu, including Alligator Corn Dogs, an andouille sausage dipped in corn dog batter, and deep-fried until golden brown. You can find the savory Alligator Corn Dogs at Bullpen Grill in Section 125.
For beef lovers, smoked Nolan Ryan beef brisket will be battered and fried for a chicken fried steak sandwich complete with Texas toast, pickles, red onions, and Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce. The mouth-watering sandwich will be served at the Sweet Baby Ray’s stand in section 125.
For eggrolls with a twist, head to sections 121, 225, and 230, where “Go Deep Fried” serves brisket egg rolls. During the 2020 receipt contest, a Rangers fan produced the idea. The one-of-a-kind dish consists of house-smoked brisket wrapped in a traditional egg roll with Napa cabbage and served with Togarashi-seasoned fries and Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce, perfect for dipping.
For those looking for a vegan option, the Impossible Vegan Bratwursts at the Vegan Cart in section 101 will be served on a locally baked vegan roll with grilled onions. Another vegan option is the “chicken” salad sandwich, served with Terra chips and sliced vegan bread. Concession stands in sections 101 and 205 will provide these vegan dishes.
The Golden Chick stand, in section 128, will offer their battered fries topped with Rico’s Nacho Cheese and fresh jalapenos.
It’s normal to get nachos at a Rangers stadium game, but how about mac and cheese nachos? The concession stands in sections 106 and 225 will offer Tostitos Nacho Chips with Rico’s Cheese Sauce and a big scoop of macaroni and cheese. The creamy goodness is topped with Rico’s jalapenos, pico de gallo, and a drizzle of sour cream.
The final addition to the Rangers stadium menu is the cornbread chili pie. This chili pie features an all-Angus beef hot dog with fresh-baked cornbread as the bun, topped with Texas Chili’s chili, shredded cheddar cheese, and Ricos Jalapenos. This creation will be available at concessions stands in Sections 132 and 225.
As for local fare being featured at the Rangers stadium, enjoy offerings from Arlington favorites Hurtado Barbecue, Ella B’s, and Prince Lebanese Grill. During the special pop-ups, Hurtado’s will sell loaded brisket nachos, pulled pork sandwiches with chips, and Texas Twinkies — giant jalapeños filled with chopped brisket and cream cheese wrapped in bacon and glazed with sauce. Visitors can get their taste of Hurtado’s favorites on April 11 and 12, 2022, and May 13, 14, and 15, 2022.
Ella B’s will serve on April 15, 16, and 17, 2022, and Prince Lebanese Grill’s food will hold their pop-up on April 29, 30, and 31, 2022.
Even if you are not into baseball, it could prove worth it to go to Globe Life Field just for the food experience.
