Plano Native Cameron Corhen Will Transfer to Kansas Prep School for His Senior Campaign

Fourth-ranked Texas center, Cameron Corhen will be finishing up his high school career at Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas. 

The 6’9, 205 lbs. recruit will be transferring from Plano’s John Paul II and following in the footsteps of North Crowley’s Grant Sherfield and South Grand Prairie’s Bryce Cook, who also left the Dallas area to play at Sunrise Christian. 

Corhen is a three-star recruit, according to 247 sports, and is ranked as the 26th best center of the class of 2022. 

He has yet to commit to any school, but he has a list of offers that include Kansas, Houston, Florida State, Illinois, USC, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and many others.  

Sunrise came just short of winning the GEICO national tournament last season, losing in the championship game. They were ranked as the 11th overall team nationally in MaxPreps Way-Too-Early rankings for next season. He will be joining four-star returning forward Gradey Dick (Kansas) and another transfer in five-star forward Mark Mitchell at Sunrise. 

Corhen will play be moving around a bunch this year as he finishes the summer’s AAU season with the Houston Hoops before his transfer.
