Jenna Milan is as humbled by her latest accomplishment as she’s been by any other during her otherworldly Trinity High career.
“I am extremely excited and blessed to announce that I will be continuing my academic and softball career at the University of Missouri – Kansas City,” Milan posted on Twitter. “I am beyond grateful for everyone who has guided and supported me throughout this process.”
Milan’s time at Trinity has become legendary, including her three 18-strikeout performances and .800 batting average during her junior season.
As a sophomore, she earned All-Conference and All-Area honors along with Offensive MVP honors on the strength of a .553 batting average where she led her team in hits and runs scored.
As a freshman, Milan was awarded All-Conference honors and named Newcomer of the Year.
University of Missouri – Kansas City coach Kerry Shaw doesn’t expect Milan to skip a beat at Missouri-Kansas City.
“Jenna has competed with strong programs against tough competition in a softball-rich region of Texas which is known for its competitive softball. She mixes pitches and locates well and will come in and help provide some needed depth to our pitching staff.”
