Luster succeeds retired boss Jackson at North Forney

Randy Jackson has capped a half-decade career with North Forney by retiring from the head football coach and athletic director positions.

In Forney reported that assistant head coach Eric Luster has been tabbed his boss’s successor.

“So many people I want to thank for this opportunity,” Luster tweeted on July 9 following his promotion. “First my God, my wife kids for moving all over Texas for me, my Forney family [and] Forney ISD, [and] Coach Randy Jackson. I want to thank the North Forney Community for allowing me to speak purpose into your children.”

Luster, whose 22-year coaching career includes stints at the middle, high school, and collegiate levels, inherits a Falcon program that went 9-2 during Jackson’s last season in 2020 and 30-14 under Jackson.

He is a married father of seven, In Forney reported.
