Little Elm High School’s star cornerback Terrance Brooks has committed to The Ohio State University, an announcement he made via Twitter.

Brooks is a 5-11, 190 lb. defender and rated a 4-star recruit. He is the 8th ranked corner in the nation, and the 12th best recruit out of the state according to ESPN.

The Buckeyes own the top recruiting class of 2022 thus far. Brooks will be joining a list that already includes some top defensive recruits like 5-star cornerback Jaheim Singletary and 5- star linebacker C.J. Hicks.

Shortly following his commitment, Ohio State defensive coordinator Kerry Coombs posted a celebratory Tweet.

His announcement comes after receiving a whopping forty-one offers. These offers included schools like Alabama, Florida, Oregon, Notre Dame, and Texas.

Brooks is a speedy corner that can control the outside. His reactions to throws and outside runs will make opposing team offenses regret calling plays to his side. He has also been a reliable last line of defense and hustler by tracking down break away plays. Brooks couples his alertness with great tackling and solid hands to offer a well-rounded defensive back.

Brooks, alongside Keyshon Mills, a three-star committed to Colorado, will be a pair of dangerous cornerbacks for a loaded Lobos secondary.
