Lewisville High senior Jeshua Bertaud has signed a letter-of-intent to attend Benedictine College, and Texas-area scout Zachary Zdanowicz thinks it’s a perfect fit.
“Super proud of this kid’s hard work,” Zdanowicz posted on Twitter. “Eric Peterson and Landon Hay are getting a dude that knows how to work his tail off. Happy you found a place that fits you and happy I got to be a small part of this big journey.”
Another scouting report bills Bertaud as someone who “does little things well,” including working counts and creating havoc on the base paths.
“He’s a really savvy base runner that can read pitchers and get good jumps as well as use his speed,” the scouting report adds. “Jeshua is the type of kid that a coach always likes and is always focused on the game or practice.”
Bertaud also carries a 3.6 GPA and has a 21/1080 ACT/SAT score.
