Euless Trinity graduate Ethan Gilliam is headed to Springfield, Mo., where he will attend Evangel University and play for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Div. I institution’s men’s soccer team.
Gilliam inked a letter of intent with the Assemblies of God-affiliated school in April.
“Congratulations to Ethan Gilliam for signing to play Soccer at Evangel University,” Gilliam’s now-alma mater wrote on Facebook. “Your family and teammates are very proud.”
One of the highlights of Gilliam’s prep career is landing on the all-district second team as a junior.
Aside from having starred for Trinity, Gilliam played for the Texas Xtreme ’02 team for much of his young life, the club’s web site said in the announcement of his Evangel signing.
Evangel just notched two wins in 2020, failing to win a conference game.
