Cedar Hill High star catcher Charity Vernon, a Whataburger Rising Star, recently topped the list of four Longhorn players inking letters of intent to play at the next level.

Vernon signed on with Xavier University while hurler Hannah Pacheco signed with Trinity Valley Community College. Ashlynn Griffith and Alayna Parram both signed with Langston University.

A four-year starting outfielder, Parram told NewsBreak her decision wasn’t that hard to make.

I chose Langston because I wanted to attend a Historically Black College & University (HBCU), and I wanted a smaller school,” she said. “It’s close to home and I really like head softball coach Hosea Bell.”

A dominant hurler, Pacheco leaves Cedar Hill with at least one post season honor to her credit.

“Congratulation, 6A second team All-District Team, Hannah Pacheco,” the school posted on Twitter.
