The North Texas FIFA World Cup 26 Organizing Committee will host a FIFA World Cup Draw Party on December 5 at Billy Bob’s in the Fort Worth Stockyards.
Doors open at 10 a.m., with the live broadcast of the FIFA World Cup 26 Final Draw from Washington, D.C., kicking off shortly after.
The globally televised event will determine the group stage matchups for the 2026 tournament and confirm which national teams will play in Texas stadiums next summer, including AT&T Stadium in Arlington, which is scheduled to host nine matches — the most of any venue in the tournament.
The free public event at the world-famous honky-tonk will feature large screens showing the draw, a variety of food and drink vendors, and appearances by special guests to announce the results. The morning will help officially celebrate Texas’ role in the expanded 48-team World Cup co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Texas is one of 11 U.S. host regions selected for the tournament, which will run from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
As the Lone Star State gears up for the tournament, preparations are in full swing. Last week, Dallas officially opened its FIFA World Cup 26 Volunteer Center at Fair Park’s Food & Fiber Pavilion, as previously reported by DX. This 25,000-square-foot hub will recruit, train, and coordinate more than 6,000 volunteers, the second-largest volunteer force among host cities.
Organizers expect over 15,000 applicants to attend in-person tryouts in the coming weeks for roles ranging from fan services and language support to “ceremony operations.” Volunteer assignments are expected to be officially handed out between January and March of next year.
General Admissions tickets for the watch party at Billy Bob’s are currently available for $10.
For those who cannot attend in person, the FIFA World Cup Final Draw will be broadcast live worldwide, starting approximately 11 a.m. Central Time.
