FC Dallas and Toyota Motor North America announced Wednesday a multi-year extension of their naming rights partnership for Toyota Stadium and Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco. The renewal maintains one of Major League Soccer’s longest-running sponsorships as the venue undergoes a $182 million renovation.
The deal ensures Toyota’s name will remain on the stadium through and beyond the modernization project. Since 2013, the partnership has supported youth soccer programs and community initiatives across North Texas.
“We’re thrilled to extend our long-term relationship with Gulf States Toyota and Toyota Motor North America,” said Dan Hunt, President of FC Dallas. “Toyota has been an incredible partner, and we’re proud to continue aligning our brands as we move forward into the next chapter of Toyota Stadium.”
The 20,500-seat venue opened in 2005 and hosts FC Dallas home matches, NCAA football championships and concerts. Construction crews are currently installing a new east-side canopy structure as part of the renovation approved by Frisco City Council in September 2024.
“We are thrilled to renew our long-standing partnership with FC Dallas,” said David Christ, Group Vice President, Toyota Division. “Toyota Stadium has been home to many wonderful memories for our community, and the updates to the stadium will only further cement it as a world-class venue.”
The renovation represents a public-private partnership between the City of Frisco, local school districts, and the Hunt Family. Planned upgrades include 3,400 new seats, expanded club spaces, and improved broadcast facilities.
Toyota Stadium has hosted MLS All-Star Games, U.S. National Team matches, and the annual NCAA FCS Championship Game. The 145-acre complex includes the National Soccer Hall of Fame and 17 tournament-grade fields.
Construction is expected to finish before the 2028 MLS season begins, according to the team.
