Florida State’s 2022 recruiting class is a statement to building a team in the trenches, and it just got better with the newest commit: interior lineman Jaylen Early from Duncanville.
Jaylen is a 4-star recruit that measures in at 6’4”, 320 lbs. He is the eighth-best interior lineman in his class and the 29th overall recruit in Texas.
He announced his commitment via Twitter.
Florida State now has the 8th overall class for 2022, the best of all ACC teams. Jaylen is the sixth offensive lineman to commit to the Seminoles. He is one of four four-star linemen in the class, and is the highest-ranked of that group. He joins other blue chip linemen Antavious Woody (Lafayette), Qae’shon Sapp (Lee County), and Aliou Bah (IMG Academy).
Early returns to Duncanville for his senior campaign after an impressive three years on varsity leading up to his commitment. Duncanville finished first in the district last year and made it to the third round before losing to Southlake Carroll. Jaylen was a part of a high-powered offense that averaged 48 points per game last season.
