Diamond Hill-Jarvis is still over the moon about its boys soccer team’s incredible run to the state championship game, and the Eagles baseball team seeks to embark on a playoffs journey of its own.

There’s not much time left in the 2021 season with UIL baseball postseason set to start in a few weeks. Diamond Hill-Jarvis Athletic Director Oscar Castillo, however, is confident about the Eagles’ chances are earning a berth.

“The team’s in second place now … but they’re expected to make the playoffs,” Castillo, who is also the Diamond Hill-Jarvis football coach, told the Dallas Express. “All of this is not common for our school so we’re kind of excited about the success these various teams are having. And it’s a good thing.”

The team’s MaxPreps page shows that as of April 25, the Eagles have a 3-2 district record, including a 27-run explosion at the expense of Fort Worth-Dunbar.

Two games against Benbrook this week will round out the season.
