The Dallas Stars have officially announced their schedule for the 2025-26 preseason and regular season.
The Stars begin their regular season campaign with a road matchup against the Winnipeg Jets on October 9, followed by a road rematch against the Colorado Avalanche on October 11.
Dallas will look to stay on top after a postseason in which they defeated both of these teams.
Dallas will then play its home opener on October 14 against the Minnesota Wild at American Airlines Center, where fans will get their first look at many of the new faces on the team in the regular season.
The Stars’ 41-game home slate is peppered with high-stakes matchups and emotional reunions, many of which come against division rivals and conference contenders.
Notable matchups include the October 25 homecoming of Logan Stankoven, who is now with Carolina after a blockbuster trade that brought Mikko Rantanen to Dallas, and an early-season visit from Mason Marchment and the Seattle Kraken on November 9.
Both returns to the AAC will reunite fans with familiar faces and underscore the significant roster changes Dallas made in its pursuit of a deeper playoff run over the past few months.
These matchups will also include high-profile rivalry games, such as a home matchup against the Edmonton Oilers on November 4, marking the first time the Stars will face the team that knocked them out in back-to-back Western Conference Finals.
Special calendar highlights include the Stars’ first-ever contest against the Utah Mammoth on November 28 and a New Year’s Eve showdown against the Buffalo Sabres.
Dallas will then follow this matchup with another road game on New Year’s Day against the Chicago Blackhawks.
The NHL is also scheduled to take a roughly two-week break beginning on February 6 due to the 2026 Winter Olympics, with many players set to join their national teams in Milan and Cortina during that span.
The Stars’ regular season schedule then comes to a close with an April 15 matchup in Buffalo, as Dallas will look to pick up one more win before a potential playoff run.
The upcoming season is poised to be one of the most exciting in recent memory for the Stars, as the franchise has made several moves in recent months to bolster both its coaching staff and roster.
Dallas recently opted to move on from coach Pete Deboer in favor of Glen Gulutzan, marking a risky decision that could pay off in the long run, as previously reported by The Dallas Express.
The Stars have also completely revamped the player personnel, allowing Mikael Granlund to sign with an opposing team while trading Mason Marchment and defenseman Matt Dumba to free up cap space.
