The Dallas Cowboys have improved upon nearly every offensive position throughout the offseason, but the biggest X-factor for the team next season will come along the offensive line.

Although the Cowboys could see a bigger improvement from the running back position after multiple players were added during both free agency and the draft, the offensive line will still be the biggest factor in how successful the offense is next year.

The Cowboys’ offensive line underwent a significant change this offseason following the loss of Zack Martin to retirement and the addition of Tyler Booker with the 12th overall pick in the NFL Draft.

When these personnel changes are combined with the additions of Conor Riley and Klayton Adams to the coaching staff, who are considered two of the best offensive line coaches in the league, the Cowboys offensive line unit will look very different.

Dallas is currently expected to start Tyler Guyton at left tackle, Tyler Smith at left guard, Cooper Beebe at center, Tyler Booker at right guard, and Terrence Steele at right tackle.

Although this is the expected group of five offensive linemen, Cowboys Head Coach Brian Schottenheimer said the team is “creating competition” by testing guys at different spots.

“We’re rolling different guys in there. Rob Jones, we’re moving Brock [Hoffman] around a lot. Moving Beebe around some,” he explained, per Athlon Sports.

Schottenheimer is likely also evaluating different combinations along the offensive line following difficult seasons from Guyton and Steele.

However, Guyton was a rookie, and Steele was in his second season removed from a torn ACL, indicating that both players could bounce back in the 2025 season.

Smith discussed the potential for this unit and said that everyone along the line must “rise to the occasion” for the Cowboys to be successful this season.

“As everybody can see, this is an extremely competitive division with great offensive and defensive lines. We understand that. … I think it’s gonna start and end with us when it comes to the success of this football team,” he explained, per The Cowboys.

When it’s all said and done, Smith acknowledges that there is only one true goal for this team moving forward.

The ultimate goal is to win the Super Bowl,” he said, per The Cowboys.
