The Dallas Cowboys are expected to open a 21-day practice window for three key contributors currently on the injured reserve list.

This week, the Cowboys plan to officially begin the practice window for linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, cornerback Shavon Revel Jr., and center Cooper Beebe.

As previously reported by The Dallas Express, the Cowboys have been operating under the assumption that both Overshown and Revel would be able to return at some point this year after starting the season on the injured reserve list.

Rumors about Overshown’s return began to spiral due to a social media post by the linebacker.

Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram confirmed that Dallas plans to open Overshown’s practice window this week, with the team also confirming the activation of Revel.

Additionally, Beebe has been on the injured reserve list due to a high ankle sprain, with the expectation that he will have his practice window opened this week and be able to return at some point in the coming weeks, per Harris.

All three players will now have 21 days to begin practicing with the team, followed by the eventual activation of these players from the injured reserve list, barring any substantial setbacks in their recoveries.

Dallas could opt against activating one of the three if there is a setback, but that would result in the player being shut down on the injured reserve list for the remainder of the season.

Beebe is set to join an offensive unit that has remained explosive in his multi-week absence, with the Cowboys currently ranking amongst the league leaders in nearly every statistical category at this point in the season.

Meanwhile, Overshown and Revel have a chance to make a significant impact on the Cowboys’ defense.

Dallas has struggled for the majority of the season to stop opposing offenses, as Dallas currently ranks last in yards per game allowed (401.6) and third-to-last in points per game allowed (29.4).

The Cowboys currently boast a 3-3-1 record, ranking second in the NFC East division, but they will likely need to find a defensive rhythm to make the postseason in a crowded NFC.

Although Overshown has dealt with multiple serious injuries and Revel will enter the season as a rookie, both players could make significant impacts on this team once they are cleared to return to the field.
