Midlothian senior star Tiffany Cao fired a blistering two-day total of 141 to capture runner-up honors in the 5A state golf championships, earning the praise of Panther supporters across the state.

“5A state runner-up and silver medalist (by one stroke),” the team posted on its Facebook page. “Shot a two-day 141 (-3). Congratulations Midlothian Panther senior, Tiffany Cao. What a tremendous legacy you have left. Thanks for your commitment to Midlothian High and the Panther Gold program.”

In a post to Twitter, the team added, “Second place in the whole state of Texas!!! Shot a 2 day total of 141 (-3). Could not be more proud of this girl right here! Congrats Tiffany!”

The event hardly marked the first big stage Cao has made a name for herself starring on. Over the last six years, Cao has competed in the Northern Texas Junior Tour.
