The Brock golf team recently bagged its third UIL Class 3A state title over the last seven years, easily outlasting Callisburg by 23 strokes.

Michael Redwine led the winning Blue Team to the top of the standings, firing a cumulative 158 over two days, to finish sixth overall. Jayton Vaughan (161), Gavin Taylor (163), Payton Garrett (163) and Kutter Wilson (165) also starred for the winners.

With the Brock Gold Team also finishing in the Top 5 with a total score of 672, school officials wasted little time celebrating the school’s heroics.

“Brock Boys Golf has a HUGE showing at the @uiltexas State Golf Tournament,” director of athletics Chad Massey posted on the school’s Twitter page. “Congratulations to the 2021 Golf State champions and Brock Gold for finishing 4th in state. Awesome job.”

Both Brock teams came out firing early and never looked back, with Massey tweeting on Day 1, “Brock Golf sitting 1st and 3rd after 1 round of the State Golf Tournament.”
