After a lengthy and tumultuous offseason, the Baltimore Ravens and quarterback Lamar Jackson have reached an agreement on a new contract.

According to reports, the parties have agreed to a five-year, $260 million contract — making Jackson the highest-paid player in the NFL.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts recently received a similar contract, but Jackson’s is worth $5 million more.

The two sides had been struggling to find an agreement for some time, leading to Jackson visiting other teams while on the non-exclusive franchise tag and requesting a trade earlier this offseason.

The Ravens selected Jackson with the final pick of the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He missed the Ravens’ last seven games of 2022 with a knee injury but is the 2019 NFL MVP, a two-time Pro Bowler, and holds a 45-16 record.

The new contract comes with $185 million guaranteed and will keep Jackson in Baltimore through 2027.
