The pitcher who led the University of Oklahoma softball team to two Women’s College World Series (WCWS) titles has decided to transfer to Nebraska.

Jordy Bahl was a two-time champion and All-American pitcher for the Sooners. She announced her decision on Thursday on Twitter.

“After 2 years of wonderful memories, I’m excited for 2 more representing the Nebraska Cornhuskers. This state, these people, and this N are all things I’m excited, proud, and thankful to be a part of,” Bahl wrote.

Bahl originally committed to Nebraska as a high school freshman before signing with Oklahoma, which has won three WCWS titles in a row.

The right-hander was 44-2 with 15 shutouts and five saves in her two seasons in Norman. Her career ERA was 1.00.

Nebraska has never won the WCWS. It last qualified for the eight-team field in 2013.

Bahl said on Monday she would transfer, and her coach was supportive.

“We’re understanding of her situation and certainly want her to be the happiest she can be. We are supportive of her and she will always be part of the OU Softball family,” Oklahoma coach Patty Gasso said in a statement.
