Baylor, Texas A&M on Verge of Top 10

The latest men’s basketball Top 25 Rankings from the Associated Press have been released.

Houston, Texas A&M, Baylor, and Texas remain the only in-state schools ranked in the AP poll, while TCU received more than double the votes it got last week.

Houston stayed at No.6, Baylor and Texas A&M came in just outside the top 10, and Texas climbed from No.19 to No.15.

The top nine teams remained unchanged, but Florida Atlantic dropped out of the top 10 to No.19 after losing to Bryant, marking the week’s most significant plummet. Miami (FL) took its place, breaking into the top 10 for the first time in six years. Both FAU and Miami lost in the Final Four last season.

Colorado made the biggest jump this week, rising seven spots, while North Carolina moved up six places.

Illinois and Villanova dropped out of the Top 25, while Virginia (No.24) and Mississippi State (No.25) were ranked for the first time this season.
