Concessions at sports events are big business.
While the NFL earns most of its money from television licensing deals, the high markup on concession sales to its captive audience brings in additional revenue.
The Dallas Cowboys ranked No.9 for concession prices during the regular 2023 season. The average price of a hot dog and 16-ounce beer was $17.31. The cheapest beer at AT&T Stadium was $10.50. Just getting into a game last year cost a small fortune, on average, $116.69, based on 2023 regular season prices. The Cowboys sold an average of 93,594 tickets per home game in the 2023 regular season.
It’s no wonder that the Cowboys recently became the first sports team in history to surpass $10 billion in value.
