Arlington Baptist picks up hometown pitcher Isaac Prado from Plano East

Plano East High versatile star Isaac Prado has signed on to play at Arlington Baptist.

Prado, who played second, shortstop and pitched at Plano, wasted little time spreading the news and giving thanks.

“I want to thank everyone who has been by my side,” Prado posted on his Twitter page. “With lots of thought and prayer, I am excited to announce that I will continue my academic and athletic career at Arlington Baptist University. Proud to be a Patriot.”

Prado, who also starred for the North Texas Pride traveling team, comes to Arlington Baptist carrying a 3.50 grade-point average. According to Field Level, Prado targeted 19 schools with his coaches before settling on Arlington Baptist, a NCAA Division 3 school.
