The Associate Press has released its weekly Top 25 men’s college basketball poll.

Houston and Baylor continue to lead the Texas teams, staying in the Top 10 at No.3 and No.6, respectively, amid 8-0 starts. The Cougars remain behind Arizona and Kansas but could challenge for the No.1 ranking if they continue to rack up the wins. Baylor has a bit more work to do, sitting behind one-loss Purdue and UConn teams.

There is a new team atop the poll for the third straight week as Arizona climbs to No.1. Last week, Purdue had claimed the top spot after Kansas lost to Marquette, but the Boilermakers now drop to No.4 after losing to Northwestern for the second consecutive season.

Gonzaga, Marquette, North Carolina, and Creighton complete the top 10, while Florida Atlantic and Texas inch closer to joining the elite teams.

Duke experienced the most significant drop, falling 15 spots after losses to Arkansas and Georgia Tech. Texas A&M, Tennessee, and Miami (FL) all dropped significantly as well, while North Carolina and Colorado State were the week’s biggest risers.

San Diego State returns to the poll after a three-week absence, and Wisconsin and Clemson join the Top 25 for the first time this season. Villanova, Mississippi State, and Alabama all fell out of the Top 25.
