Argyle Liberty’s four-star Safety and Wide Receiver Christian Driver will be joining the best 2022 recruiting class, committing to Penn State.

Driver is the son of former Pro-Bowl wide receiver Donald Driver, who played 13 seasons for the Green Bay Packers. He is listed as a 5’11”, 185 lbs. safety but has gotten a healthy dose of snaps as a wide out. He suspects he might follow in his dad’s shoes at the next level and transition to wide receiver.

Driver uses his speed well on both sides of the ball and has shown excellent route-running skills and hands-on offense. As for defense, he can commit to stopping receivers early in their routes and can fill gaps on run plays and prevent breakout plays.

Driver is the 18th best safety in his class and the 38th best recruit of the state. He joins a Penn State recruiting class now ranked first on 247 sports. He is also the 14th four-star commitment for the Nittany Lions and their 23rd commitment.

Driver had a whopping 45 schools offer him, including Alabama, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Texas, and Florida State.

Argyle Liberty and their star safety hope to do a turnaround from last season after finishing with just a 2-7 record.
