American Airlines Center — home of the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars — is getting a new roof following multiple issues with a leak in the arena.
Last week, helicopters were seen flying materials to the American Airlines Center to address the leak in the roof.
Videos were shared of helicopters carrying oversized pallets of equipment and materials above the arena. Onlookers quickly captured footage of the delivery and shared it on social media.

The American Airlines Center has had multiple problems with leaks over the past year and confirmed the new roof addresses the leak issue, along with other problems.
The most recent leak appeared during Game 4 of the NBA’s Western Conference Finals, and though that was the highest-profile leak the team had in the year, it was not the first.
Earlier in the year, during a regular-season game on March 21, tipoff between the Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves was delayed 15 minutes because of a roof leak in the very same spot above the visitors’ bench.
Dallas Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban can rejoice that NBA fans can finally move on from the leak. Hopefully, Cuban can look forward and focus on bringing Mavericks Fans an NBA Championship win in 2023.
