Three-star wide receiver, Jordyn Tyson has made a buzz this summer from announcing his transfer to Allen and stellar 7-on-7 performances to his commitment to play for head coach Karl Dorrell at Colorado.

The 6-foot-1, 170 lbs. receiver made his commitment on his birthday but only gave the Colorado coaching staff something to celebrate after having eight schools listed in his recruitment. His list included schools Colorado State, New Mexico, and Tulsa among others. Coach Dorrell also took to Twitter to post a celebratory tweet in honor of the new addition.

Tyson is a tall target on the outside, has excellent route running, and can catch in a crowd. As a junior, Tyson had 31 receptions with 446 yards and 6 touchdowns for Frisco Independence. He gained lots of attention back in May for his performance in 7-on-7 tournaments. In the Lonestar Classic, he received Offensive MVP and ended the tournament with 23 touchdowns in just nine games. He also led 940 Elite to the top seed in pool play at the national tournament in Tampa.

Allen High went 10-1 last season with their only lost coming in a close match against Trinity (Euless) in the third round of the class 6A Division 1 playoffs. Head coach Chad Morris and Tyson are looking to push further in the upcoming season.
