A couple of Dallas Cowboys quarterbacks are teaming up for a charitable cause.

For the second consecutive year, Hall-of-Fame quarterback Troy Aikman, the last signal-caller to lead the team to a Super Bowl, and current quarterback Dak Prescott will be honorary co-chairs for the Children’s Cancer Fund Gala in April.

Both players have been involved with the organization in the past as part of Roger Staubach’s “Quarterbacks for a Cure” program, and Aikman will be making his 25th consecutive appearance.

“The Children’s Cancer Fund Gala is the best event of the year and the kids involved have made a lasting impact on my life,” Aikman said in a press release. “The kids are amazing and inspirational because of their fight and courage. I will come back every year, with the hope that a cure will soon be found.”

Prescott joined the fold last year after Staubach stepped away from chair duties after 30 years.

The gala has been held annually for 34 years and is the Children’s Cancer Fund’s biggest fundraiser. The organization has raised over $13 million for pediatric cancer research and treatment since 1982, and the gala contributes around $2 million annually.

Best-selling children’s author Emberli Pridham will be the chair of this year’s event, which will also include live and silent auctions, a VIP reception and dinner, and a fashion show of pediatric cancer patients ages 5-17, accompanied by celebrities and dressed in clothing from Dillard’s.

Dubbed “A Knight to Remember,” the gala will take place at the Hilton Anatole on April 19, and all funds will go toward improving treatment and care for children with all types of pediatric cancer across North Texas.

“This event is all about supporting and honoring these courageous children from North Texas and raising funds for groundbreaking pediatric oncology research and care,” Pridham added in the release. “No child or family should face the fight against cancer alone. ‘A Knight to Remember’ will demonstrate our community’s shared commitment to creating a brighter future for these brave young warriors.”
