Thirty years after their last NFC Championship appearance, the Dallas Cowboys once again saw their season unravel in December — a familiar ending that has become harder to dismiss as coincidence.
Following Dallas’ loss to Minnesota, Dallas Sports Network hosted a panel discussion examining whether the Cowboys’ repeated late-season failures point to deeper, structural problems within the organization.
Rather than focusing on a single game, the panel explored recurring issues that have defined the franchise for decades: poor in-game adjustments, stalled offense in critical moments, defensive inconsistency, and an ongoing lack of direction when the stakes are highest.
During the discussion, Chris Putnam, CEO of The Dallas Express, joined the panel as the group debated whether the Cowboys’ offseason priorities should focus on personnel upgrades or leadership and coaching changes.
With another season effectively ending short of expectations, the conversation raised a difficult question Cowboys fans know well — how many times does the same outcome have to repeat before it’s no longer bad luck?
