High school basketball teams across the state began playing in their playoff tournaments earlier this week.
The state of Texas classifies schools from 1A to 6A based on enrollment, and the playoffs begin with two separate regional brackets for each.
The winners of those brackets then meet at the Alamodome in San Antonio for the state title.
Here are the schools with boys’ and girls’ basketball teams from Dallas, Tarrant, and Collin counties still playing in the state tournament and when they play next. Most play at the 4A, 5A, and 6A levels.
