Two teenagers were shot in a city park near the VA Hospital in Cedar Crest on June 3.

Dallas Police received a report of a shooting at Derrick Geter Park in Cedar Crest at about 12:30 a.m. on Friday. Responding officers found blood and casings at the scene. However, they did not see any victims.

Two teens later arrived at Baylor and Methodist hospitals with gunshot wounds. One of them, a 15-year-old, died of his wounds.

The second teenager is in stable condition and is expected to survive.

Detectives are interviewing the teens’ friends in a bid to determine what led to the shooting.

No arrests have been made as of this time.
