A top 10 national homebuilder in online home sales has revealed that single-family homes in its latest residential communities in North Texas are now up for sale.
Colorado-based Century Communities Inc. recently announced its properties at Ambergrove in Royse City and Middlefield Village in Southeast Dallas were available to buyers.
The two new communities are said to contain a versatile selection of single-family homes featuring flexible living options, contemporary layouts, and numerous amenities, according to a May 25 news release from the company.
Single-family homes at Ambergrove have prices starting around the low $300,000s, while residential housing at Middlefield Village in Southeast Dallas has base prices starting in the high $200,000s.
“With the continued growth of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, we are thrilled to be able to not only meet growing demand for single-family homes but also be able to offer new construction at affordable prices,” said David Aughinbaugh, Dallas division president of Century Communities, in an email to The Dallas Express.
“Century Communities has been and continues to be committed to the Dallas-Fort Worth market due to all the lifestyle and recreational amenities, vibrant culture, and strong economy it offers. The addition of the Ambergrove and Middlefield Village communities further highlights our belief in the DFW market,” Aughinbaugh said.
While Century Communities took a gamble on its Southeast Dallas development, other builders are more reticent about building in Dallas proper because of its troubled permitting department and the city’s issues with crime and urban blight.
New homes at the Ambergrove community in Royse City come in one of six single-family floor plans. Each plan boasts an open-concept layout and modern features, like the builder’s Century Home Connect smart home package. The package enables homeowners to remotely disarm security systems, lock and unlock doors from anywhere, and control the thermostat and lights.
The available floor plans include the following options:
- 3 single-story and 3 two-story floor plans
- 3-4 bed, 2-3 bath, two-bay garages
- 1,618 to 2,682 square feet

Middlefield Village is a few minutes from downtown, conveniently situated in an area of Southeast Dallas with quick access to shopping, dining, and outdoor recreation. The community also features six single-family floor plans with open-concept layouts and designer-selected finishes. The available floor plans include the following options:

- 4-5 bed, 2-3 bath, two-bay garages
- 1,607 to 2,180 square feet
