A press release stated that the hotel management and investment firm, Midas, announced that the Element by Westin hotel recently opened its doors for the public. The hotel is located at 2205 North Glenville Drive in Richardson.

The press release explains that the $22 million hotel shares 5.2 acres with 3D Development on a “mixed-use development and joint venture.”

3D Development is “a real estate development company with offices in Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas” established in 2008. Their business focuses on “building solutions for national retail and hospitality brands.”

Midas was established in 2006 and is a “fully integrated real estate enterprise with business units specializing in capital generation, construction, and management services for hospitality properties and adjacent investments.” The new Element by Westin hotel in Richardson marks the second Element hotel brand they oversee and manage.

MW Builders was the general contractor that constructed the new Element by Westin, along with architect firm Gray Design Group. Financing was provided by Commerce Bank.

According to the website of MW Builders, they mention that the new hotel is great for “healthy, active, and eco-conscious travelers who want to maintain a balanced lifestyle while on the road.” The building also offers “calming common areas” throughout the hotel.

The General Manager of the new Element hotel is Janina Partney, who used to be the General Manager at the Irving Element hotel. She has more than fifteen years of experience in accounting and more than nine years of working within hotel operations.

The Element by Westin’s concept “encourages renewal through a nature-influenced environment and is constructed with an efficient use of space and sustainability in mind,” the press release mentions.

The hotel is equipped with a Motion Fitness Center, Bikes to Borrow program, and a pool that is all-natural saline.

Eric Goettelmann, Midas Capital’s President, stated, “This development not only represents our second investment made in Texas, but it is also our second alliance with Marriott’s exciting Element concept.” He added, “We’re extremely proud of our Midas team members and partners who helped us complete this development through these trying times.”

The new Element by Westin is four stories tall and holds 123 “spacious suites that include fully equipped kitchens and spa-inspired bathrooms.”

According to the website of Element by Westin in Richardson, two pets per room are welcomed. They also have a barbeque and picnic area, laundry area, dry cleaning available, tea and coffee in the suites, car rentals, local restaurant dinner delivery, complimentary continental breakfast, and free grab-n-go breakfast.

Reviews of the hotel are compliments with close to five-star ratings. A Google review from Mike Tong states all of the bonuses the hotel has to offer and also mentions, “They have a complimentary beer and wine social gathering on weekdays.”
