The Park Trails community in Forney will soon expand with the addition of dozens of new homes.
A new phase of Park Trails will add over 100 new homes to the already large suburban development, which is located roughly 24 miles east of downtown Dallas. Multiple builders are participating in the expansion.
Kindred Homes is constructing 48 homes within the 46 acres it secured for the development. The prices of the houses located east of Ranch Road and north of Longhorn Lane start at $419,000.
“The neighborhood features well-lit streets, well-maintained sidewalks, and lush greenery. Multiple routes to major freeways ensure quick access to nearby amenities. Additionally, Park Trails boasts oversized lots and no MUD tax, providing more space and lower living costs,” reads a description on the Kindred website.
Kindred will offer homes ranging from three to six bedrooms and two to five bathrooms, with sizes starting at 1,894 square feet.
According to its website, Grand Homes has nearly three dozen lots currently available for sale, and home prices range from the $500s to the $720s.
Park Trail Ltd., UnionMain Homes, and other builders are also constructing homes in the new phase of the community.
Earlier this year, The Dallas Express reported that UnionMain was actively building a planned 200 homes in Walden Pond West, another residential community taking shape in Forney.
In 2023, the U.S. Census Bureau said that Forney was ranked among one of the hottest housing markets in the U.S., according to a study conducted by Opendoor.
Terrell, also in Kaufman County, is similarly experiencing a lot of activity. Northspur, a 700-acre neighborhood, is underway in the city, as is the Gateway master-planned community, which will also house retail, like H-E-B, Target, and Home Depot.
