The Walden Pond residential community in Forney continues to take shape, with pre-sales rising.
The new development straddling FM 548 will include 2,055 single-family home sites across 214 acres. Centurion American Development Group, based in Farmers Branch in North Texas, is developing the community. According to the developer, buyers will have the option to build on 40-, 45-, or 50-foot lots.
The community will be divided into three main sections: East, West, and South, constructed by several different builders. So far, Brightland Homes and Lennar have built homes in Walden Pond East. Lennar, UnionMain, and Pacesetter will build in Walden Pond West.
In fact, UnionMain has already completed 50 out of a planned 200 homes in Walden Pond West, with pre-sales kicking off. By June 10, the firm expects to open a model home in the neighborhood. UnionMain is offering several different models, with the smallest home starting at 1,511 square feet and options that go as big as 3,276 square feet.
“We are so pleased to add to our unique collection of affordable communities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area that offer the ideal blend of suburban living and modern conveniences… Folks will thoroughly enjoy the stress-free buying experience at Walden Pond – from the initial consultation where needs and budget are prioritized through the final walk-through of their beautiful new home,” said UnionMain CEO Tim Gehan in a statement, per WFAA.
Walden Pond is within the Forney Independent School District and is 12 minutes from Downtown Forney and 40 minutes from Downtown Dallas. Centurion said the neighborhood includes access to plenty of green space, parks, an amenity center, and trails.
