The construction of a 1.04 million-square-foot warehouse — part of a seven-building intermodal logistics center — in Fort Worth will soon begin as part of a development by Missouri-based NorthPoint Development.

The logistics center will be located between Alliance Airport and the BNSF Railway intermodal facility in a more than 27,000-acre master-planned community called AllianceTexas, according to planning documents filed with the state.

At midyear, NorthPoint reported having approximately 14 million square feet under construction.

As reported by The Dallas Express, North Texas is the nation’s fastest-growing industrial building market, with about 59 million square feet of warehouse and distribution space under development.

According to the latest data from Yardi Systems, more than $1.4 billion in North Texas industrial and warehouse buildings were sold in the year ending in May.

AllianceTexas has accumulated more than 2.3 million square feet of industrial leasing in 2022.

NorthPoint owns more than 100 warehouses across the country and has managed over 100 million square feet of warehouse space since 2012. Its tenants include recognizable names like Amazon, Walmart, and General Motors.
