Trellix, a cybersecurity firm reportedly worth $1.7 billion, is setting up its headquarters in Plano’s Legacy West complex. At 85,000 square feet, the building lease is one of the largest that the business park has seen in recent months.

The new headquarters, located fittingly on Headquarters Drive, is across the street from the corporate headquarters of Liberty Mutual Insurance, and joins other corporate giants in the Legacy West area, including Toyota, Boeing, JPMorgan, and FedEx.

The new office space, part of an office, retail, and apartment block designed by Dallas architectural firm BOKA Powell and built by developer Karahan COS, is expected to open this summer.

Trellix was created from the merging of McAfee Enterprise and FireEye Security Holdings. In October 2021, McAfee Enterprise and FireEye announced that Symphony Technology Group had closed its sponsored acquisition of FireEye in a $1.2 billion all-cash transaction which merged McAfee and FireEye into one company.

Last month, Symphony Technology Group announced that the company Trellix would be emerging from the newly formed combination between McAfee and FireEye. They stated that the new business would be delivering extended detection and response to organizations with a focus on accelerating technology innovation through machine learning and automation.

“This new organization will be opening an office housing the employees and assets of its combined operations,” said Trellix’s Chris Palm. “The overall presence in the area will remain what it was prior to the McAfee Enterprise-FireEye merger.”

Before the merger, McAfee had an office in Legacy business park on Preston Road. That property is now being sold to Capital Commercial, an Austin-based real estate investment company.
