Construction of a luxury residential tower on Pearl Street is expected to begin during the second quarter of this year, marking the first such project Swiss firm Empira Group has overseen in the region.
In June, The Dallas Express reported the investment firm bought a 1.1-acre site in the Central Business District, where it plans to build 678 residential units, including 375 apartments, and 8,300 square feet of restaurant space on the ground floor. The 37-story project at 711 N. Pearl St. has a delivery date of 2026.
“From highly-educated young professionals to empty nesters looking for a vibrant lifestyle, everyone wants to live in Dallas,” Empira Group chair Lahcen Knapp said in a news release. “Our state-of-the-art development will provide new housing options to individuals and families who want to live within walking distance of the Dallas Arts District, shops, restaurants, parks and their workplace.”
The tower will overlook Celebration of Life Park, catering to residents who seek extravagance in Dallas’ urban core because of its proximity to the Dallas Arts District, as DX reported.
The North Pearl Street site is within a few blocks of the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House, Dallas Museum of Art, AT&T Performing Arts Center, and Meyerson Symphony Center. GFF of Dallas is designing the tower.
With offices in Luxembourg, London, Vienna, Stockholm, Miami, and the United Arab Emirates, Empira Group manages about $9 billion in real estate investments. Its only American projects are in Dallas and Miami.
