The Dallas-Fort Worth market was recently named the third-best real estate market in the U.S. by the National Association of Realtors, and for good reason.

Eight Dallas-area homes for sale are on the list of the most expensive homes for sale in Texas for December, according to the Houston Realtors Association. The most expensive home for sale in the state is a $35 million castle in Austin on the Colorado River.

The Eight Most Expensive Dallas Area Homes on the list:

1469 Sunshine Lane, Southlake – $19.9 Million

The second most expensive current listing in Texas, this seven-bedroom, seven-bathroom home close to Grapevine Lake is a whopping 31,234 square feet. The house features amenities galore with a chef’s kitchen, full-size basketball court, bowling alley, gym, indoor glass-enclosed trampoline, game room, batting cage, and movie theatre, according to the listing by Douglas Elliman Real Estate.

The house also features resort-like grounds with two heated saltwater pools, a hidden slide, and a 15-foot-deep end.

3808 Potomac Ave., Highland Park, $18.9 million

Located in the wealthiest city in Texas, this Highland Park stunner features a nine-car garage and over 10,000 square feet of living space on a double lot.

Per the listing, this home was “built using the highest level of building science and best practice sparing no expense during the construction process.”

The three-level home has six bedrooms, a wine seller, and a resort-style pool. It also features floor-to-ceiling windows, riviera limestone, white-washed rift white oak, and premium stone that comes together to create a “Cabo-Like escape.”

9250 Meadowbrook Drive, Dallas, $15.85 million

The fifth most expensive listing in Texas comes in at 12,470 square feet and has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms in the gated community of Preston Hollow.

A newly renovated traditional French estate, this home features three living spaces with separate guest quarters, a game room, a study, a resort-style pool, a creek, and a motor court, according to the listing by Allie Beth Allman & Associates.

4646 Cherokee Trail, Dallas, $11.99 million

Built in 1982 and remodeled in 2020, this 7,566 square-foot home features five bedrooms, five-and-a-half baths, and two guest houses. According to the listing, the home features soaring ceilings and windows overlooking treetops, a four-car garage, custom cabinetry, and an “extremely large pool with imported tiles from Italy.”
