The White House marked the 2025 holiday season by welcoming volunteer decorators and performers from across the country as part of White House Christmas 2025, an annual tradition hosted by First Lady Melania Trump and President Donald Trump.
According to the White House, 150 volunteer decorators from all 50 states and two U.S. territories traveled to Washington, D.C., during Thanksgiving week to help prepare the executive residence for the holidays.
Volunteers ranged in age from 19 to 76 and represented a wide range of professional and personal backgrounds.
This year’s holiday theme, “Home Is Where The Heart Is,” focused on community, service, and national unity.
The White House also selected more than 25 volunteer performer groups from 22 states to provide live music throughout the Christmas season.
A choir from Boerne, Texas, was among the groups selected to perform, according to The Boerne Star, joining ensembles from across the country during official White House holiday events and open houses.
White House Christmas events are held annually and are supported in part by volunteer participation from communities nationwide. Seasonal tours and programming remain open to the public through scheduled visits.
